A creative good deed using your everyday materials

The Urban Services Department of the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) drew praises from the public through their recent creative recycling project.

The recycling project at Taman Jajar Sungai Ara was headed by Pembantu Kesihatan Awam, Ahmad Nizuar Nordin with help from the dedicated members of his team.

The team from the council made use of everyday materials like old tires, old carpets, cardboard, plastic bottles, PVC pipes, discarded clothes, ropes, tins and other items to the best of their creativity.

In light of this month of celebration, some of the colourful and quirky structures displayed in the area include the Ox, God of Prosperity, oranges and more festive items.

The younger generation will also enjoy the structures of other familiar characters like the famous animation Minions made from old tires and more.

Well done to the team from MBPP on their continuous efforts to put discarded materials to good use!
