These include providing marketing solutions, free airtime, financial assistance, and consulting services. unifi’s integrated Digital Marketing Solutions (DMS) allow members to enhance their digital presence by easily creating their own website using ready-made themes and add-on e-commerce features. DMS comprises offerings from Yellow Pages Digital, Instaweb, Google Ads and Facebook Ads.
Members can also gain publicity via videos that showcase their brand story through uBC website. As for financial assistance, members have access to various solutions through unifi’s special collaborations with SME-focused financial solutions provided by SME Bank. To ensure its members’ businesses suffer less disruptions, uBC also offers exclusive on-site consulting and servicing support.
However, uBC’s special services to its members go beyond what is listed on its website. In August 2020, unifi announced several partnerships that would benefit their members further in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. These include a collaboration with Lalamove which offers its on-demand delivery solutions to unifi Business subscribers as part of the productivity boosters for uBC members.
Through uBC, local businesses continued to reap the benefits of being part of its ecosystem in 2021 with initiatives like REBOOT 6.0 and Sembang Bisnes 10.0. These business webinars focused on how businesses could increase and retain customer loyalty during the pandemic.
Fast forward to 2022, unifi continues to prove its dedication in helping its growing business customer base to succeed in digital transformation. As Malaysia eases into the endemic phase and with less restrictions imposed on physical events, unifi Business successfully hosted TMpoint Fiesta 2022. This well-curated programme sets its sights on potential customers that consist of MSME owners who want to discover the positive impact of widespread connectivity and digitalisation to their business.
TMpoint Fiesta 2022 roadshow took place in various locations, including Subang Jaya and Shah Alam. The event at TMpoint Taipan was held over three days from 9 to 11 March. Programmes included an introduction to unifi business solutions and digital tools, and valuable sharing sessions. One of the most inspiring sessions was Borak Bisnes, which provided a platform for successful business owners and entrepreneurs to share how unifi Business has helped them digitise their brands.
One of the speakers was KUEH Café founder, Mohamad Ezwan Mohamad Zain. His establishment was one of the many F&B businesses affected by the no dine-in restrictions imposed during the Movement Control Order (MCO).
On the first day of MCO, he prepared the same amount of kuih but only sold 100. When things didn’t get any better, he closed his shop temporarily to avoid losses and food wastage. Ezwan eventually reopened the shop in April 2020 in time for Ramadan. At the time, he didn’t think that his products would be on demand online.
The truth is the demand was there, but customers couldn’t reach KUEH Café as it had no online presence. Customers would call in but Ezwan and his team were doing administration manually and even had to organise riders themselves. He then finally registered his business on GrabFood, ordel, and foodpanda, and used these online delivery services to continue operations. After that, business got better. To reach a wider customer base and strengthen KUEH Café’s digital presence, Ezwan opted for unifi Business solutions to seamlessly digitalise his business.
This move gave KUEH Café the connectivity it needed, and the café’s online presence widened even more under cari@unifi premium listing. Although business is back to normal as walk-ins are now allowed, the increase in revenue is attributed to the digital business solutions provided by unifi and the subscription to various online platforms.
uBC is certainly fulfilling its aspirations to supply its members with benefits and privileges designed with their digitalisation needs in mind.
